Dressy black suits are invading tuxedo territory.
You’ve seen them on the awards shows. Our dressiest black suits
are from Oleg Cassini, Jones New York and Hugo Boss.
Purists may be offended, but fashionistas will applaud! We
recommend completing the look with a no pleat wingtip formal
shirt and a solid black or grey silk tie and handkerchief set.
The first thing I noticed with this suit was the cloth. Jones New York’s Golden-Fil cloth has the earmarks of a winner – it’s soft, smooth, and very rich. There is a certain depth to the shade of black and the fabric itself that makes it appear very elegant. This is a year-round weight suit, although it is a bit heavier than the other suits in this grouping. The thick jacket lining allows the coat to slip on easily and feels very good. The proportions and balance of the garment make this our best selling suit. 3-button, no vent, flap pocket, pleated pant styling. Fully lined jacket has 2 interior breast pockets and 1 lower phone pocket. The pant is lined to the knee for comfort. Waist size is 6.5” less than the chest size (42 jacket comes with a 35.5” waist) and has 2” of extra fabric for a tailor to let out if needed. |

It's called a tailor, Dec 14, 2007

A good suit is not going to fit perfect off the rack. You need to get the pants taken in to fit you. A good suit and good tailor make the perfect combination.

Not everyone is the same size blazer and pants, Nov 10, 2007

I agree with other comments, I have a different size waist tot he blazer and so they need to seperate the suits to reach more people! I ahven't bought a Jones New york suit since all the retail places near me have started selling them as two piece both same size. I'd rather pay more money and get what I eed rather than pay a price and throw the pants away because they dont fit

Jones New York, Oct 15, 2007

Great Suit, but Jones New York needs to get in the game by offering suit separates. Buying pants that fit is a real problem and Jones New York is losing business by not offering suit separates.

Love them, Oct 11, 2007

I have about 5 Jones New York Suits and I have to say they are absolutely great. The fit is always consistent and the fabric itself is of great quality. I have a couple of other suits from different brands and the feel is just not right, especially for the price I paid for those. I plan on getting more as soon as I can.
